This report therefore calls for policy-makers and regulators to adopt a careful case-by-case approach to assessing airport competition based on the more sophisticated analytical tools set out in this paper. Competitive forces alone cannot be relied upon to ensure a fair outcome for consumers and other airport users.

The Mayor of London has published a draft revised London Housing Strategy for consultation with the public. The document sets out the Mayor’s policies to increase the supply of well-designed housing of all tenures to levels not seen since the 1930s, in order to meet the needs of London’s growing population and particularly to support working households. Comments are requested by 7 February 2014.

SfEP is a news and information service published by the European Commission’s DG Environment. The Asia-Pacific Housing Forum is a biennial conference organized by Habitat for Humanity International. This pamphlet brings together the history columns published in Chartist since 2005. The intention of the column was to draw attention to the writings of earlier radicals and socialists. This was partly to inform current political activists of the history of the movement but also to provide inspiration. Each column provides a n extract the writings of the individual featured together with a short biography to set out the context in which the article or book extracted was written. This pamphlet covers the first fifty columns covering the period to 1907.

However, recent criticisms of the EU’s approach and substantial problems with Europe’s emissions trading scheme risk snuffing out the EU’s momentum and undermining the City of London’s leading role in carbon finance.
