It provides “12 principles of good spatial planning” backed up with with a range of examples of good practice from UK authorities.

Users can obtain efficient access to publications, guidelines as well as case studies from around the world (which can be conveniently searched for by location, Aichi Target and/or by ecosystem service addressed.

Terrestrial Biodiversity Climate Change Impact Report Card 2012-13

The Living With Environmental Change (LWEC) partnership has published the first in a series of climate change impact report cards. These will bring together the most up-to-date research to provide reliable and timely information on climate impacts. The Terrestrial Biodiversity Report Card is a downloadable resource and it identifies trends, variations, risks and vulnerabilities associated with the impact of climate change on the UK’s terrestrial biodiversity.

Defra policy evidence plans

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has produced a series of evidence plans for different policy areas which make significant use of formal evidence, including plans for water availability and quality; waste and resources; sustainable economy; sustainable land and farming; landscape and outdoor recreation; flood and coastal erosion risk management; biodiversity and ecosystems; atmosphere and local environment; and climate change. The evidence plans will be used to help ensure the link between evidence and policy development and implementation. The evidence plans set out evidence needs for a 5 year timeframe and will be updated roughly annually to reflect any major changes in evidence needs as a result of changing policy.
