The  national networks national policy statement sets out the need for development of nationally significant infrastructure projects on the national road and rail networks and government’s policies to address that need. The consultation seeks views on whether the national networks national policy statement adequately sets out the need for development of nationally significant infrastructure projects on the national networks, the government’s proposals to address that need and detailed guidance on how impacts of developments are to be assessed and impacts mitigated.
