The Better Building Partnership (BBP), a collaboration of seventeen of the leading commercial property owners in the UK, has updated its guidance on the use of green leases for commercial property. This guidance are non-prescriptive, helping owners and occupiers to agree carbon, energy, waste and water reduction strategies which best fit with the circumstances of individual properties. With the help of this Toolkit it is possible for any owner or occupier to positively engage in developing practical ways to effect significant positive change, ultimately accelerating the process of making the UK’s existing commercial properties more sustainable.

This Guidebook has been launched by the UNWTO with the financing of the European Commission Directorate-General Development and Cooperation, as a part of the project “Enhancing capacities for Sustainable Tourism for Development in Developing Countries”. The Guidebook seeks to enhance the understanding of tourism in all its dimensions and describe how the sector relates to the EU Agenda for Change. It should enable EU services in Brussels and the EU Delegations in 180 countries, as well as other development institutions, to include sustainable tourism development in their programme cycles. The guidebook will be tested in six developing countries (Botswana, India, Kenya, Vietnam, Senegal and Timor-Leste. The Guidebook takes a comprehensive approach to tourism, covering a wide range of topics relating to its planning, development, management and impact. By working through the whole document, users will be able to identify priorities for intervention across a spectrum of issues.

This report aims to advise governments from developed and developing countries on a broad mix of policy tools and instruments that they can use at the national or sub-national levels, to scale-up private investment in sustainable transport infrastructure and shift investment away from carbon-intensive road transport. These include regulations, pricing instruments, innovative financial tools and risk-sharing mechanisms. The focus of this report is on land-based transport infrastructure for passenger use, including passenger rail, bus rapid transit systems, metros, non-motorised transportation and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
