The publication analyses nine cultural heritage sites located in South-East Europe (Aquileia, Berat, Bitola, Cetinje, Dubrovnik, Hallstatt, Idrjia, Nafpaktos and Venice). The authors focused on the application of environmental planning and management approach to cultural heritage sites and studied the so called “Hit and Run Tourism” affecting some of the mentioned case study areas.
