Increasing the UK’s aviation capacity

The Government recently produced a scoping document for developing a new Aviation Strategy. The starting point for this scoping paper was that aviation should be able to grow, but to do so, it must be able to play its part in delivering our environmental goals and protecting the quality of life of local communities. This paper is the Tourism Alliance response to this scoping paper which sets out the need for aviation expansion in order to support tourism growth.

English Heritage has published a new document cites the latest evidence to show how our heritage can help the UK economy grow faster, specifically through tourism; can make a significant contribution to existing economic activity; and, just as important, that more than 80 per cent of listed building applications are granted, with more than 75 per cent of these dealt with within eight weeks.
