This trip provided a perfect balance of leisure and learning. On an educational level, the visit enabled students to learn three things:
1. How ports are at the heart of global trade and their significance in connecting the world spurring economic growth
2. The challenges faced by ports to be sustainable given its large carbon footprint
3. Increase awareness of a multitude of commercial activities within the realm of international trade.
From a leisure perspective, the trip to the Isle of Wight and an overnight stay allowed students to bond and create lasting memories, making it an ideal way to conclude the academic year on a high note.
