Your Alumni Survey 2019
In February this year, we launched a survey to find out more about your connection to the University and identify what engagement opportunities we can continue to offer to support your development after Westminster.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the survey. Your feedback has been incredibly insightful and will help us to enhance your experience as a Westminster graduate.
What did we learn?
1. You enjoyed your time at Westminster
An amazing 93 per cent of you felt your time at Westminster had a positive impact on your life. Almost 80 per cent were satisfied with the overall experience you received as a student, and 70 per cent of you achieved everything you set out to during your time with us.
2. You want to be involved
Half of you would like to be more involved with Westminster, with 60 per cent interested in giving back to support students, either through mentoring, completing an alumni profile or delivering a careers talk.
3. You would recommend Westminster to others
An incredible 90 per cent of you have, or would be happy, to recommend our University to friends or family, while 7 in 10 are proud to tell people that they studied at Westminster.
4. You want ongoing opportunities for development
There’s a high level of interest in improving professional skills, with 9 in 10 indicating that you would like the University’s support with your career development; specifically with advancing your digital skills.
5. We can do things differently
We’ve realised we need to find different ways of sharing information with you as 40 per cent were not aware of any of the benefits available to you as a Westminster graduate.
How will we use your feedback?
Through your responses, we know we need to work on making you feel connected to Westminster and valued as members of our vital alumni community. This is an ever-evolving and ongoing opportunity for us to find new ways to keep you up-to-date with knowledge of the University as well as developing even more, unique ways you can be involved.
Your feedback won’t just stay with the Alumni Team. We will share the results with a range of stakeholders to ensure we’re offering you beneficial opportunities relevant to you and your development.
For example, you fed back your interest in connecting with each other to make the most of our global alumni community. We have now launched Westminster Connect – an exclusive hub for Westminster alumni to expand their professional networks, search for jobs, and offer and receive mentoring from fellow alumni.
We will continue to look for even more new ways to support your connection to the University of Westminster so keep a look out for more information soon.
