Growing up in India, I saw the gap in basic healthcare access—especially in tier 3 cities and rural villages—where one medical emergency could cost a family everything. That image stayed with me, even as my career took me to the global corridors of power.
After completing my undergraduate studies in India, I began my professional journey in London—an experience that not only broadened my worldview but also laid the foundation for a deeper understanding of how systems work efficiently. Eager to expand my knowledge and leadership skills, I pursued an MBA in the United States, where I had the opportunity to work with some of the top global companies in strategy and Technology.
While I was thriving in the corporate world, I couldn’t ignore a growing sense of responsibility toward my roots. I had all the tools—education, experience, and networks—but I asked myself, “What’s the point of all this if it doesn’t lead to meaningful change?”
That’s when Devdoot was born—a transformative initiative in the Indian healthcare space. Our mission is simple yet powerful: To Serve the Unserved and bridge the healthcare divide in India by making on-demand emergency medical services and mental health support accessible, affordable, and reliable for all.
Devdoot now connects people in remote areas with caregivers, ambulances, mental health professionals, and virtual wellness coaches—all at their fingertips. We’re building a platform that helps to reduce stigma in rural areas and brings dignity, speed, and trust to those who need care the most but are often forgotten.
My advice to new graduates:
1. Start by listening. Understand the real problems people face. Innovation isn’t about fancy tech; it’s about solving human problems in practical ways.
2. Embrace every experience. From London’s business environment to the US boardrooms, every stage taught me something I’m applying today.
3. Don’t wait for perfect. Start small. Start with passion. Let impact be your measure of success.
4. Remember your ‘why’. This will carry you through the hardest moments when the world doesn’t yet see your vision.
To the next generation of Westminster alumni: dream global, act local. Your story can change lives.
