Receive Rewards and Recognition
Complete the Recognition of Student Volunteering Form today!
At Volunteering Services, we are keen to recognise the valuable contributions made by student volunteers. Your efforts have not only benefited society, but have also helped to grow your personal development.
If you’ve taken part in volunteering within the last academic year, we encourage you to complete the Recognition of Student Volunteering form. By doing so, you’ll be eligible for rewards and recognition for your hard work. The deadline to do this is on Sunday the 30th of April.
We know that volunteering is as diverse as the millions of people who do it, it comes in many forms and we want to recognise all of them. So whether you’ve helped out at a charity or community group, volunteered within the University or Student Union, or even started your own project for the social benefit of others, you’re eligible to apply.
The Westminster Employability Award (WEA) is also open to all students and helps boost your career and personal development by formally recognising the extra-curricular activities you complete during your time at the University of Westminster. If you have volunteered for 25 hours or more, you’ll be eligible for 50 WEA points! All you’ll need to do is complete the Recognition of Student Volunteering form. Even if you have volunteered for a shorter time, fear not – irrespective of the length of your volunteering, you can apply (via the same form) for a Certificate of Achievement, further enhancing your CV!
And lastly, if you feel that you’ve made an exceptional contribution to society through volunteering, nominate yourself for the ‘Student Volunteer of the Year’ award. If successful, you’ll be invited to the Westminster Employability Awards Celebration in the summer and will be awarded a prize for your volunteering success. To apply for Student Volunteer of the Year simply complete the relevant section at the end of the Recognition of Student Volunteering form.
Thanks for all your hard work and dedication. Let us give you the recognition you deserve.
