Focus: Developing a structured CPD framework to strengthen soft skills and professional readiness among future English teachers.
Reflect on the progress you have made in implementing your mini-project so far. Consider your original aims, the activities you have carried out, the outcomes achieved, and the challenges you have encountered. Support your reflections with specific examples or evidence wherever possible. If some activities are still in progress, explain what you have achieved to date, what you have learned, and what your next steps will be. Focus on progress, impact, lessons learned, and priorities for further development, rather than simply describing the activities you have completed.
- What progress have you made in identifying the priority soft skills that PRESETT students need to develop?
- What components of the CPD framework have you developed or tested so far?
- What opportunities have students had to practise communication, collaboration, problem-solving, leadership or reflective practice?
- What changes, if any, have you observed in students’ confidence, classroom interaction or readiness for teaching?
- What feedback have you received from students or colleagues, and how has it influenced the development of the framework?
- What challenges have you encountered in developing or implementing the framework?
- What needs to happen next to refine the framework, evaluate its effectiveness and integrate it into the PRESETT curriculum?
