Implementing Inclusive Assessment and Feedback for Students’ Written Work
Institution: Khujand State University (Oriental Languages Department)
Pathway 2: Assessment & Feedback Development
Team: Parvina Rizoeva, Mutriba Karimova, Nigora Salimova
Target group: Students producing written work
Focus: Developing more inclusive approaches to assessing and providing feedback on students’ written work.
Reflect on the progress you have made in implementing your mini-project so far. Consider your original aims, the activities you have carried out, the outcomes achieved, and the challenges you have encountered. Support your reflections with specific examples or evidence wherever possible. If some activities are still in progress, explain what you have achieved to date, what you have learned, and what your next steps will be. Focus on progress, impact, lessons learned, and priorities for further development, rather than simply describing the activities you have completed.
- What progress have you made in identifying and addressing barriers to fair and inclusive assessment of students’ written work?
- What changes have you introduced or tested in assessment criteria, marking practices or feedback?
- How have students responded to these changes, particularly in terms of understanding assessment expectations and using feedback?
- What examples have you observed of students using feedback to improve their subsequent written work?
- What evidence have you collected to evaluate whether the revised approaches are clearer, fairer or more helpful to students?
- What challenges have you encountered in implementing inclusive assessment and feedback, and what have you learned?
- What further changes or activities would help you strengthen the approach and embed it in regular assessment practice?
