The dates for the next English Language and Linguistics Research Seminars have been announced. This year’s programme (ELL Seminar Programme 2020-2021) features talks on a diverse and fascinating range of topics: from family language policy, to visual metaphors and the migrant crisis, cognitive approaches to the poems of Siegfried Sasson, language policing in UK schools – and more!
Seminars will take place on Blackboard Collaborate on even-week Wednesdays at 16:00 (UK time). The first seminar for this year is on 30 September, when Alexandra Georgiou (UCL Institute of Education) will present a paper on “Conducting multilingual classroom research with refugee children: opportunities and challenges”.
All colleagues are welcome to attend via https://eu.bbcollab.com/guest/487ace3fe7c04093998bbe522b894f4b
