City of London Community Infrastructure Levy

The City of London’s planning authority has unveiled its proposed community infrastructure levy. A headline charge of £75 per m² (£6.97 per sq ft) is proposed for offices and retail development across the City, while riverside residential development could incur a fee of £150 per m² (£13.94 per sq ft) or £95 per m² (£8.83 per sq ft) elsewhere in the borough. Development used wholly for educational or health purposes would not incur a levy.
