Drivers and challenges for climate compatible development

The Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) has published a new Working Paper which sets out CDKN’s initial thinking on the drivers and challenges affecting climate compatible development policy processes, based largely on the programme’s own national and subnational-level experiences. The Working Paper considers some of the various drivers behind countries’ climate compatible development strategies and their incentives for engaging on this agenda. It also looks some of the challenges and disincentives to promoting climate compatible development reforms and considers some of the options for overcoming these.
