The cast of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever stepped out to attend the film’s European premiere in London.
The stars were a force to be reckoned with as they hit the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever carpet at its European premiere, held at London’s Cineworld Leicester Square on Thursday night.
The main cast set a stunning example for the black carpet with Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira and Michaela Coel leading `suit in colour co-ordination.
Lupita Nyong’o, who plays Nakia, was dressed to impress as she walked in an embroidered, black and silver mermaid dress. The actress, 39, was joined by her equally glamourous co-stars, who also graced in black, at the screening of the anticipated Marvel film.
User @PerryOBree wrote on Twitter: “Lupita Nyong’o looks amazing wow she plays Nakia.”
Gurira, however, dared to be daring, as she exposed her glowing, toned legs with a black and silver embroidered dress that donned a front split. The actress, 44, who plays Okoye, added black satin puffs to her dress and finished the look with simple black heels.
@Gurirasource tweeted: “STUNNING BEAUTIFUL GORGEOUS DANAI!!!!!!!!!”
Alongside Gurira, Michaela Coel adorned the carpet with a seductive all black number, featuring a black lace skirt with a high split and tights to match. The star of the show was her shaven red head.
@ThisIsMax posted on Twitter: “Listen @MichaelaCoel just understands the assignment .. powerful and beautiful 🎉”.
Other celebrities at the premiere included Stormzy, Maya Jama and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.
The 2018 release of Black Panther brought in more than £1bn at box office making it one of the highest-grossing films of all time. The first film starred the late Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa ( also known as the Black Panther) the king and protector of the fictional African country Wakanda, the most advanced technological country in the world.
Directed by Ryan Coogler, Black Panther became the first superhero film to receive a Best Picture nomination at the 91st Academy Awards.
Despite the absence of Chadwick Boseman, due to his death from cancer in 2020, its sequel is expected to be a box office success, with an estimated 170 million viewers watching the trailer in the first 24 hours after its release.
Last week, Rihanna, released her first single in six years for the new film’s soundtrack, in honour of Boseman.
The film is expected to make its global debut at cinemas on 11th November, 2022.
