Christmas came early: Spider-man No Way Home set for early release in UK

With what’s possibly the most anticipated movie of the year, the third film of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is coming a little earlier for UK fans.

After the releases of Black Widow and Shang-Chi, Sony recently announced that the new addition to the MCU is set for release on Wednesday 15th December, 2 days before it releases for the rest of the world.

They also stated tickets will be available globally from 29th November. As Marvel has created so much hype around this movie, tickets are sure to sell out fast.

Many international fans weren’t too pleased with the worry of spoilers being spread. Though it’s become a common practice of the internet to avoid posting any news of MCU movies when released out of respect for fans.

The new trailer for No Way Home dropped on Tuesday and has already surpassed 16 million views on YouTube and over 22.5 million on Twitter.

Marvel truly pulled out all the stocks.

The trailer has definitely made me even more eager for the release. Fans also took to Twitter to express their theories and how excited they are.

Action, comedy, romance, the return of old villains as well as rumours of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield appearing; what could possibly be the final Spider-Man movie for Tom Holland is predicted to be the biggest yet.

Holland was recently honoured with the front cover of GQ’s Men Of The Year edition with the award for ‘Superhero of the year.’

In an interview with the magazine, he hinted at retiring from his friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man days. “Maybe it is time for me to move on… If I’m playing Spider-Man after I’m 30, I’ve done something wrong.”

However, those who’ve seen the end credits of the recent Venom movie (spoiler alert) know that there’s a huge possibility of Spider-Man appearing in Venom’s 3rd movie especially with both under Sony.

Though some fans also think the end credits scene could just mean Tom Hardy is in No Way Home despite no signs in the trailer.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is said to be 159 minutes long.

At almost 3 hours, it’s going to be the longest Spider-Man movie to date.

Out in UK theatres 15th December 2021.
