Cool London cinemas with student deals

Going to the cinema in London can quickly become a pricey trip out, so we’ve put together a list of student deals on cinema tickets to make the blow to your student loan a little less extreme.

Not only are these deals amazing, the cinemas they’re in are also pretty great:

Picturehouse Central, Piccadilly Circus

A £25 a year student membership at Picturehouse Central allows you to enjoy two free cinema tickets, £3 off tickets, access to their members bar and roof terrace (it has a beautiful Insta-worthy view over Piccadilly), priority booking to select films and events – the Q&A screenings with actors are particularly exciting, 25% off food and drink and invites to free previews. Plus you’re exempt from those pesky booking fees.

Buy your membership here: https://www.picturehouses.com/cinema/Picturehouse_Central/buy-membership

But if you’re not sure you want to commit to a yearlong membership, you can enjoy a film at Picturehouse Central for £14.50 with a student ID (£2 less than a regular ticket).

Rich Mix Cinema, Bethnal Green

Become a Mixer for £6 a year and get £5 cinema tickets, free tickets to music and art shows, networking events and workshops. This deal also excludes you from booking fees, woo.

Without a membership, student tickets are £9.95.

Curzon

Sign up for a free student membership and receive off-peak tickets priced at £6.50 and money off tickets at peak times, no booking fees, and access to member previews and student member events.

You can easily sign up here, then sit back and relax in their comfy velvet chairs.

Every Man

Every Man brings the boujee and anyone with a valid student ID can enjoy it at a discounted price during off-peak times. The cost varies per screening but it’s usually around £12.

If you can only make it during peak times however, don’t fear; the Canary Wharf Every Man sells student tickets all day, every day.

The Prince Charles Cinema, Leicester Square

This is another cinema that offers students a discounted ticket at select times. But you definitely want to try and get your hands on it for the range of fun screenings they host; from singalongs to movie marathons.

BFI, Southbank

25 and unders are entitled to £3 tickets at any time, which is great since BFI plays such a wide range of films, including new releases and throwbacks to your favourite classics – sometimes there are Q&A’s too. When the London Film Festival rolls around, you can get £5 tickets to all screenings.

To have access to the deals you’ll need to sign up for an account with BFI here, then verify your student status at the BFI box office, simple.
