Some may be interested to look at this paper I came across in Science (a journal I donāt visit as much as I used to). The study reported in the paper involved 453 college-educated professionals. Participants were assigned occupation-specific writing tasks, with half given access to ChatGPT.
The study found significant productivity enhancements for those using ChatGPT: a 40% reduction in time taken and an 18% increase in output quality. Additionally, a decrease in inequality among workers and changes in their perspectives towards AI were observed, with an initial increase in both concern and excitement.
