The University of Westminster is one of 8 universities in the UK selected to work with the JISC on piloting a Generative AI system designed to support educators with their work. The system being used is called Teachermatic and is positioned as a set of tools to help make educators’ lives easier using AI tools. The platform provides a toolkit that can create various helpful materials for educators, such as lesson plans, learning activities, and quizzes, as well as the ability to customise and personalise materials to meet the unique needs of students.
For further details of this national pilot, please read this JISC web page.
At Westminster, 50 colleagues will be provided with a licence to Teachermatic to experiment with the utility of its tools. Colleagues from all Schools in the university are represented across the 50 colleagues who were identified by a combination of the Associate Heads of College, Assistant Heads of School and Director of Learning and Teaching.
