Gain valuable work experience when you study Global Trade and Business
The Global Trade and Business BA Honours is a new Top-Up course for students who have studied business and management up to level 5 and want to develop a deeper knowledge of the impact of trade on global business operations. In today’s world, employers increasingly value “work-ready” graduates. As a result, the University of Westminster has prioritised work -based placement learning to help develop the kind of graduate skills and attributes that employers highly value. The unique feature of the Global Trade and Business course is that work experience has been integrated into the program to enable students apply their knowledge to the real world through a company project.
Understanding the biggest challenges facing businesses today
The pandemic has amplified the trade, financial and management challenges respectively on firms locally and globally. The disruption of global supply chains, trade wars and Brexit are some of the factors affecting the internal and external environment of business. This ultimately leads to uncertainty which has a negative impact on the cost of business operations. The World Bank predicts that the Global Economy is expected to grow by 2% below pre-pandemic levels in 2022. This is because global economic recovery is largely linked to unequal access to the vaccine. The risk of new coronavirus variants, the financial distress from falling business revenue and rising inflation are key risk factors that threaten business growth and consequently economic growth. All these point to the fact that business organisations must adapt to quickly to changing and unpredictable conditions. Studying Global Trade and Business at Westminster Business School will enable you see the bigger picture how businesses adapt both locally and internationally. Your understanding will be underpinned by the knowledge of international trade, international economy and strategic perspectives.
