Our Harrow Campus, based in northwest London and just a short tube ride away from the city centre, is the home to some of our most sought-after creative courses. From Fashion, Film, and Television to Music, Media and Communication, and Art, Design, and Visual Culture, you can find them all here. The campus is the perfect place for you to study and collaborate with other like-minded students.
Here is what our students say about us:
Empowering you to find your voice
“It’s the perfect place for you to take ownership of your creative ideas and experiment without any barriers or fears. The tutors are also really friendly, helpful, and caring. My advice would be to dream big, have wild ideas to experiment with and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Enjoy life at Westminster. It is a safe haven for creatives to explore their full potential.” – Joseph Vaz Nicholas, Contemporary Media Practice (BA) student
We don’t want to mould our students into generalist thinkers and we’re dedicated to helping them find their unique voice. Employers come to us because they want our ambitious, creative and diverse thinkers!
Our industry-level facilities will kick-start your career in your chosen field
“The music facilities are probably the best I have ever seen. Our recording and live studios have everything you might need, and the technical team there is always available to help students. Area 51, the university’s live music venue (and personally my favourite place on campus), is an amazing space to level up your performance skills and practice with professional live gear.” – Daria Greth, Music: Production, Performance and Business (BA) student
Our facilities include professional film, television, and production studios, radio stations, and photography darkrooms. There are 3D printers, spaces for 3D scanning, VR and AR headsets for students to use in their learning and so much more. Our fashion facilities are also acknowledged as being outstanding, with each cohort having their own dedicated studio to work in, equipped with individual design spaces for every student. Studying at Westminster means you will have access to all these tools to develop your projects and creative ideas further.
Connecting with other like-minded people
“The best aspect of being a University of Westminster student is probably the countless amount of opportunities you get while studying at the university. I’m really enjoying the fact that there are a lot of creative people here and you have a chance to collaborate with them, making your vision come to life.” – Tomas Berka, Film BA student
One of the best parts of the Harrow campus is that it connects our creative courses. Students from different programmes can get together to work on their projects in our dedicated collaboration zone (close to the entrance, with colourful and comfy bean bags to choose from). There are also various other collaboration zones to get your coursework done.
Practical assignments to prepare you for the real world
“I really enjoy the practical assessments because they prepare us for the real world. Westminster has taught me that knowledge without use is nothing more than data. This information needs to be reasoned, contrasted, and applied to the real world around us.” – Elisa Hernandez Biffa, Digital Media BA student
Most of our courses are very practical because we want our students to gain tangible and real-world skills needed for the future of their industries. Students get to work with real businesses on different assignments as part of their course.
As one of the most diverse universities in the UK, we are a global university with London energy, with more than 19,000 students from 169 countries.
