Cumberland Lodge International Student Conference 2024
Wednesday 18th December – Friday 20th December.
Cumberland Lodge are hosting an International Student Christmas conference from Wednesday 18th December – Friday 20th December.
“Since 1947, we have opened our house to extend a warm welcome to students from all over the world, who are currently studying in the UK, to enjoy thought-provoking seminars and workshops, meeting others who are studying away from home, and to experience a British Christmas in our beautiful 17th century home and surrounding park.
Our interdisciplinary programme is designed to inspire discussion and debate, supported by guest speakers and facilitators. Our theme for this year is: Should we make Father Christmas green again? We’ll be exploring innovative ways we can celebrate Christmas as well as tackling questions about how we can contribute to a sustainable future. For example, would you give up gifts to save the environment? should we go vegan at Christmas? and are reindeers a sustainable form of transport? The programme will also include:
- A Christmas carol service at Cumberland Lodge;
- A guided winter trail through Windsor Great Park (weather permitting);
- A traditional Christmas dinner, including a visit from Father Christmas;
- Festive evening games and entertainment ;
- Opportunities to network and meet students from around the world.
The event includes two nights of accommodation, along with all activities and meals”
The Graduate School are offering three funded spaces to International doctoral researchers:
- One single occupancy room with en-suite facilities
- One Shared occupancy room (two people) with en-suite facilities
The application deadline is Wednesday 6th November
Please complete the form below and email it to n.allett@westminster.ac.uk
