The University of Westminster has an extended portfolio of programmes for continuing professional development (CPD), and offers short courses in a number of subject areas. Westminster Business School offers a wide range of highly-regarded short and professional courses which benefit from its central London location and close links to the bastions of commerce and finance situated in and around the capital. The two professional courses which I will mention here are PRINCE2 and ACCA.
1- PRINCE2® (PRojects IN Controlled Environments), is a widely used project management method that navigates you through all the essentials for running a successful project. There are two PRINCE2 certificates, the PRINCE2 Foundation and the PRINCE2 Practitioner certificates. Both certificates are based on the method’s manual, Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2, published in 2009 by the UK’s Stationery Office. If you are planning to add some qualifications to your work experience and education here are some of the dates ahead . Used extensively by the UK Government, PRINCE2 is also widely recognised and used in the private sector, both in the UK and internationally.
2- ACCA The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) exams are designed to meet the needs of those aiming for a career in accountancy, enhancing their knowledge, skills and professional competence.
