As part of the University of Westminster’s 175th birthday celebrations, the Duke of Gloucester visited the Marylebone Site on Wednesday 23 October and spoke to staff and students from across the university. Here are some photos from his visit to the Business School pavilion plus a photo of our photographers! It was a great occasion because it gave us an opportunity to demonstrate to staff and students a range of our projects and activities. It was also a great time to meet colleagues and students in an informal situation. Tea was provided and the cakes – particular the chocolate éclairs – were well received.
The evening was celebrated by a reception for professional bodies and colleagues, and the chancellor, Lord Paul of Marylebone, visited us and gave an interesting speech which touched on the origins of the University.
I felt honoured to be here at the university at this important moment in time.
