IF INTERESTED, TAKE PART IN THE POSTGRADUATE/MBA INTERNATIONAL MENTORING PROGRAMME
The Business Experience Team, offers Full-Time International (Non-EU) Postgraduate and MBA students (studying at Westminster Business School), who have begun their course in September 2014, with the opportunity to take part in the PG/MBA International Mentoring Programme.
DEADLINE: Monday 20th October, 2014
WHAT IS MENTORING?
Mentoring is a two-way relationship which meets a professional development need. A mentor facilitates personal and professional growth in an individual by sharing the knowledge and insights that have been learned through the years. Simply put, mentors are people who help others to succeed.
· We will match you with a senior professional from your field of expertise to give you an insight into British working practices and policies.
· Mentors volunteer their time to share their knowledge and experiences of work and the industry with students who have an interest in their field of experience.
The mentor will support, encourage and guide you (‘the mentee’) in managing your career aspirations.
· Mentoring is not an internship nor an offer of employment
WHEN DOES MENTORING TAKE PLACE?
Our mentors typically offer 3 – 4 hours of their time over a 4 month period to one of our Postgraduate/MBA students. In addition, to one-to-one meetings you are encouraged to keep in touch over email and telephone.
The PG and MBA International Mentoring Programme will run from January – April 2015
