The Accounting, Finance and Governance (AFG) department is delighted to announce and congratulate Mr Shrey Dinesh Jain for winning the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) Educational Trust Awards 2015. Shrey successfully completed his MSc in Investment and Risk Finance degree with a Distinction on 25 February 2015. As a Westminster Business School nominee, he was selected as one of the fifteen student winners of the Educational Trust Awards in the UK.
CISI is the largest and most widely respected professional body for those who work in the securities and investment industry in the UK and in a growing number of financial centres globally. Evolved from the London Stock Exchange, CISI now has more than 40,000 members in 110 countries.
The certificate was presented to Shrey by Professor Barbara Allan on 5 May 2015, together with a cheque for £1,000. The CISI award recognises and celebrates the successes of high-flying finance students in UK CoEs for their high standards of work. Shrey makes a debut as Westminster Business School’s first nominee for such an award, following the CISI’s accreditation of the Westminster Business School faculty as a Centre of Excellence (CoE) on 4 June 2013. The AFG department has a number of excellent finance candidates it is planning to put forward for the CISI awards next year.
