The last 10 days have been exciting ones as we have welcomed new postgraduate and undergraduate students. I have particularly enjoyed meeting with many of you and hearing about your lives. I know that different groups of students have been involved in different orientation events and these have included trips to: Bank of England; V&A; boat trip on the Thames; Sherlock Holmes quiz in and around Regent’s Park plus a range of treasure trails. In addition, there have been many lunchtime events and social events. If you have not had a ‘big trip’ yet then there will be a range of different opportunities available during the academic year for you to enjoy. Keep an eye on Blackboard and our social media sites for further information….
Thank you to everyone for your patience with regard to the completion of the building works and all the related classroom moves. As different areas are handed back to us by the contractors we are really impressed with the finished product. It will soon be complete and we can start enjoying our new modern social learning spaces and fine teaching rooms. In October and November we will be hosting many different events in which we encourage the business communities to join us and we hope you will join in too.
This new academic year is filled with new and exciting developments. One innovation is that I am going to contribute to a weekly blog. I look forward to reading about your experiences in the Business Blog so I do encourage each of you to leave comments and start engaging with each other. Here at the Westminster Business School we embrace new technologies and innovations and we use a range of different social networking tools – this helps us to keep in touch with each other and spread good ideas.
I will post a new blog each week and in the mean time you can watch my welcome video here:

Dear Professor Barbara Allan:
My name is Daniel Aleman, I am from Nicaragua. I am very interested in getting a master degree in your institution. I have written several times to the e-mails of the conctacts which appear in the website of the university, but I have not received any response. I want to start the next year, it would be probably in september, therefore, I would like to have all the information ready as soon as you open the admission period. I read that as I am out of the UK, it is necessary to apply through a website.
Do you think is possible to have a direct conctact number where I can call and have more information about the next application process?
I really want to study at your University, and you will see that I would become an asset for it.
I expect your response
Thank you very much
