It is with great pleasure that we announce our second project management Building the Bridge conference will take place on Wednesday October 29th at our campus on 35 Marylebone Road, opposite the Baker Street Underground station.
Amy Hatton, the editor of Project Manager Today, will kick off the proceedings with a talk on why the world needs project managers. Amy will be followed by Kubair Shirazee who has used agile project management techniques to help street traders in Karachi improve their standard of living and thus deliver real social change.
After the lunch break Dr Edward Ochieng from Liverpool John Moores University will discuss the importance of operational excellence in the delivery of a project, followed by Martins Toluhi, an engineer who has just completed his project management master’s degree who will look into the modern phenomenon of using virtual project teams.
The final speaker is the very experienced Donnie MacNicol who will explain in his interactive way what makes a great project leader.
Donnie would like you to fill in a questionnaire at www.imo-pm.co.uk if you wish, as this will help you make sense of his talk.
If there is time left, we will have a questions and answers plenary before the conference closes at around 5:00pm.
The event is free and open, so please register at www.westminster.ac.uk/building-the-bridge-2014 so that we can order enough teas and coffee for you.
