Blackboard is operational.
US Date Format rather than UK: since 4 October 2025
Please be aware that, due to a technical issue, dates in Blackboard (including coursework submission dates) are currently displayed in US format (MM/DD/YYYY) instead of the UK format (DD/MM/YYYY).
Important reminder when checking due dates: –
11/12/2025 means November 12, 2025 (not December 11, 2025)
11/10/2025 means November 10, 2025 (not October 11, 2025).
Blackboard engineers are actively working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. The recent v4000.1.0 update did not fix this issue. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Ally - Blackboard Accessibility tool
Ally Maintenance Scheduled for Nov 8, 2025
Ally will be undergoing scheduled maintenance to migrate database tables in our US and EU regions. Due to the nature of this maintenance we do expect there to be extended periods of downtime ranging from 3-5 hours during this time.
Ally will not be processing new content during this window and the Institutional Report, Configuration UI and Course Accessibility Report will be unavailable. Instructor Feedback and Alternative Formats indicators will not be displayed within courses.
The maintenance will take place on Saturday 8th November from 7am-3pm UK time.
