To develop staff digital learning capability in teaching and learning, the Learning Innovation and Digital Innovation (LIDE) have prepared online resources and workshops. Please see the list below for planned workshops and past recordings.

Workshops for Staff

  • Voice Thread  – Monday 23 May (12 Noon to 1pm)

A brief overview of what Voice Thread is and how it can be used in teaching and learning. Please join the workshop using Blackboard Collaborate joining link.

  • Panopto – Tuesday 24 May (12 Noon to 1pm)

A brief overview of how to record using Panopto and how to edit recordings with the tools offered by the Panopto Editor. Please join the workshop using Blackboard Collaborate joining link.

  • Blackboard rubrics – Wednesday 25 May (12 Noon to 1pm) 

Rubrics help instructors provide students with feedback that is clear, directed and focused on ways to improve learning. They can help markers be consistent in how they evaluate student learning and can reduce time spent on marking. Please join the workshop using Blackboard Collaborate joining link.

  • Turnitin rubrics – Wednesday 25 May (2pm to 3pm) 

Rubrics help instructors provide students with feedback that is clear, directed and focused on ways to improve learning. During this workshop, we will look at the basics of creating a rubric on Blackboard considerations when creating a Turnitin rubric, such as total marks and ownership.   • Poll Everywhere – Thursday 26 May (12 Noon to 1pm) 

A quick run-through of how to create polling questions with Poll Everywhere and review participant responses with reports generated. Please join the workshop using Blackboard Collaborate joining link.
