Box of Broadcasts (BoB) allows all staff and students to record any broadcast programme from over 60 TV and radio channels. BoB permits users to record and catch-up on missed programmes on and off-campus and edit programmes into clips, create playlists. Includes all BBC TV and radio content dating from 2007 (800,000+ programmes).
British Pathe film archive

A cross-site search enabling you to search a number of large database for material that can be legally re-used for free. Includes Google Images and Flickr.
EU Screen

Contains over 14,000 items of TV footage from 17 European countries and is available via the EUscreen online portal for teaching, research and general interest. EUscreen provides a route into Europe’s television heritage with content dating from the 1920s to the present day.

Flickr images that have a Creative Commons licence. Visitors to the resource can search for items with different types of licence. Each licence type is clearly explained, so you can search only for images that you will be able to legally use to fit your particular use case.
