Below, you will also find answer to some common questions asked by Students.

How do I find my modules?

  • You can search for the modules that you are enrolled in.

If there is no link to one of the modules you are taking, please check the “I can’t see a Module page/site that I should be enrolled on” section for help.

I can’t see a Module page/site that I should be enrolled on?

  • The most likely explanation is that you are not registered for that module on the student record system (SRS). You can check your module registration status on SRSWeb. If you find you are not registered for the module that is missing in My Modules & Courses on Blackboard, then you should contact the Library and Student Centre and ask to be registered for the module. Once registered for the module on SRS the information will filter through to Blackboard within 24 hours.

My blackboard course says it is “unavailable”

  • Your module is unavailable because the course instructor is preparing the course and will make it available when it is ready.

If you are concerned about this, please contact the module instructor.

Blackboard Notifications

  •  Blackboard Notifications are a great way for you to keep on top of the latest information and content updates from your tutors. Find out more

I have another question about Blackboard not answered here, who can I ask?

After completing your studies

  • After completing their studies, students have access to Blackboard for up to 6 months from the date that they complete their studies.

  • During this period, students will only have access to the last 3 academic years’ content. For example, if the completed date is July 2022 then only 2019, 2020, and 2021 module sites are available for students to access. This is because Blackboard only keeps data for the last 3 years including the current year.

  • Please also visit the student hub site for further information on accessing other systems after completing your studies.
