Some technical hitches notwithstanding, Cycling@Tea-time opened its account at the Active Travel Academy on 6th May with a very interesting discussion of two aspects of cycling under lock-down: Oliver O’Brien of the Consumer Data Research Centre and UCL spoke about how bike-share schemes have been faring in the UK and overseas; and Laura Laker provided a survey of how various levels of government around the world are creating new facilities for cycling and walking in a world where social distancing is now the norm. As is the tradition, Neil Guthrie provided the half-time entertainment with some nuggets of cycling news.
