Hot on the heels of our Difference Festival event this week we are pleased to welcome our Latin American colleagues Ximena and Francisco on Tuesday 3rd March.
Ximena and Francisco founded the Dérive LAB, a multidisciplinary laboratory that seeks to explore, understand and inspire other (new) ways of living and thinking about life in the City. Through research, design and action, they develop projects with impact on three specific scales: public life, the built environment and everyday objects.
Ximena and Francisco will be giving a public lecture on Tuesday 3rd March at Westminster Marylebone entitled The reactivation of the travel diary and the fight for the right to walk. The lecture will start at 6:30pm, with drinks and nibbles available from 6pm. The event is free but you will need to book tickets here. As well as discussing methodologies and ways of walking, Ximena and Francisco will introduce their ten days of walks around London: taking in streets, canals, parks, gardens, museums and more… you will be welcome to join them in one or more days of this exploration, which will lead to the production of a collaborative travelogue that will present a collection of people, projects and places, gathered while walking together during a sociological field trip.
